MEMORIAL FIELD, DARTMOUTH COLLEGE

HANOVER, NEW HAMPSHIRE

GAME at 2:30 PM & PARADE at 12 Noon

Thank you to all who had any part in the 2007 game.

Game Scores for the past 54 years

The Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl football Game & Pageant is played between two all-star teams of graduated seniors in Vermont and New Hampshire.  The game is proceeded by a spectacular parade of Shrine Units from throughout the Northeast Region. All net proceeds are donated to the three nearest Shrine Hospitals-Montreal, Canada & Springfield, Ma., and Boston Burns, Boston, Ma. We are very proud of our 2007 King and Queen.

Our Mission

"Strong Legs Run That Weak Legs May Walk" is the motto of every Shriner, and there is no way to display that better than to watch these 72 young men play their hearts out for the benefit of the children in our hospitals.  As the players and coaches step onto the field, they become alumni of this all-star game, and are forever in the hearts of the children that they play for.  New in 2006, for the second year in 2007 the Shrine All-Star Band shined.  Musicians from New Hampshire & Vermont strutted their musical abilities down the Main Street of Hanover and then showed off their field performance at Half-time.

Shrine History

The first game was played in 1954 at Holman Stadium in Nashua, NH on Labor Day-Sept.6, 1954.  $4,500 was given to the hospitals, and in the following years, over $4,500,000. has been given to the three hospitals.

The Game is sponsored by three Shrine Centers- Mt. Sinai in Montpelier, Vt., Cairo in Rutland, Vt., and Bektash in Concord, NH., and sanctioned by Imperial Council, Tampa, Fl. The Board of Governor's manage all aspects of the game.

Thanks to the entire Shrine organization for all the good works that they continue to do." Gary Chabot, Director, St. Mary Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corp.

"Excellent job you did on the reunion" Robert Hildreth, 1955 game alumni.
